Overview of Professional Development Assignments
This website contains the resources needed to complete the assignments associated with the Juvenile Court Contact (JCC) professional development course in which you are enrolled. This site will give you access to detailed instructions, PowerPoint presentations, videos, fax cover sheets and certification sheets to document assignment completion.
There are five assignments related to dependent youth and five associated with delinquent youth (youthful offenders) at your school. They are as follows:

Assignment 1: School-based professional development workshop |

Assignment 2: Youth identification and analysis |

Assignment 3: Meetings with youth |

Assignment 5: Course evaluation |
Assignment 5: Course evaluation |
You are expected to complete both sets of assignments this year as part of your work as a JCC. Assistant principals and counselors serving as JCCs can accomplish most of these assignments as a team.
Assignment 1, a school-based professional development presentation, need not be done first. In fact, it is recommended that you move forward on the other assignments while you organize this presentation, which can be presented informally at a meeting as well as formally as a workshop.
All certification sheets should be signed by both the administrative and the counselor JCCs and are due by May 15, 2007.
Master Plan Point will then be processed for those requesting them and will be reflected in employees’ records by June 30. Please keep a copy of all your work. Assignments are typical of the work expected of assistant principals and counselors serving as JCCs. Therefore, all District employees serving as JCCs should complete these tasks, whether or not they are requesting Master Plan Points.
