Prepatory Academy

Education provides the foundation for success and financial independence in our society. Currently there are approx. 5,000 youth in the foster care system in Miami-Dade County who without an education are likely to remain dependent on the welfare system as adults.

In an effort to break the cycle of dependency, the Educate Tomorrow Preparatory Academy will serve as a residential program which will offer a structured life skills development program designed to provide educational opportunities for at-risk youths.

Opening the doors of the academy in August, 2011, the school will utilize a college prepartory curriculum starting with 30-40, 6th graders adding 50-80 students per grade level each year through grade 12. Priority will be given to students who have already been reolcated several times and have a bleak possibility of reunification, adoption or any other permanency.

Incorporating a strong remedial program, the year-round school will provide students a unique opportunity to achieve academic, economic and social success.
